The Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ exudes elegance with its refined design, combining a glass front with an aluminum frame, and a silicone polymer back offering an eco-leather finish. The dimensions are well-balanced at 162.6 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm, making it comfortable to hold despite its substantial 220 g weight. The dual SIM capability, supporting Nano-SIM and dual stand-by, adds to the device's flexibility in managing personal and professional calls with ease.
The smartphone boasts a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, which supports 1 billion colors and offers an impressive peak brightness of 2500 nits. The screen resolution stands at 1260 x 2844 pixels (~460 ppi density), providing vivid and sharp visuals. The adaptive 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and an enhanced viewing experience, whether for gaming or browsing. Additionally, the display is protected by Kunlun Glass, known for its durability and resistance to scratches.
At the heart of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ is the Kirin 9010 chipset, built on a 7nm process. The CPU comprises an octa-core setup with 1x2.3 GHz Taishan Big core, 3x2.18 GHz Taishan Mid cores, and 4x1.55 GHz Cortex-A510 cores, designed to handle both intensive and day-to-day tasks efficiently. HarmonyOS 4.2 serves as the operating system, offering a seamless user experience with its intuitive interface and extensive app ecosystem.
The photography experience is a standout feature, with a triple rear camera setup. The 50 MP main sensor with a variable aperture (f/1.4-4.0) is optimized for different lighting scenarios, assisted by PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS for clearer shots. A 48 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom allows for detailed captures from afar, while a 12.5 MP ultrawide lens ensures wide-angle perspectives. The rear camera supports 4K video recording with HDR and gyro-EIS, offering vibrant, stable shots. On the front, a 13 MP ultrawide camera facilitates great selfies and supports HDR video.
Equipped with a robust 5050 mAh battery, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ supports prolonged use without frequent recharging. Wired charging is ultra-fast at 100W, while wireless charging operates at 80W, and reverse charging capabilities (20W wireless, 18W wired) add convenience, making the device a power hub for other gadgets.
Available in two storage configurations, 512GB and 1TB, both paired with 16GB RAM, the device eliminates the need for expansion via memory cards. This ample storage ensures users have sufficient space for applications, media, and files.
The Pura 70 Pro+ supports a wide array of connectivity options: it includes GSM, CDMA, HSPA, CDMA2000, LTE, and 5G, ensuring excellent global network reception. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC with support for HCE and NFC-SIM, infrared port, and USB Type-C 3.1, which also supports OTG and DisplayPort 1.2.
Onboard sensors include an under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyro, compass, and a color spectrum sensor, contributing to enhanced usability and security. The device lacks a 3.5 mm audio jack but compensates with stereo speakers for rich audio output.
Announced in April 2024, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ hit the market shortly after, on April 29th. It's available in three colors: Black, White, and Silver, priced at approximately 1050 EUR, a cost justified by its advanced features and build quality.
